2015 vw beetle r spy profile 2 2015 Volkswagen Beetle R Spy Shots and Concept Volkswagen’s second stab in the new Beetle has currently shut up a few critics, who can’t look past a flower vase and begin to see the car itself. They butched in the bug, and in fact now there is a Beetle R to contend along with. In case there was at any time a car which challenged one to overcome any recalcitrant self-image problems, it is this factor, spied in the Nürburgring.

VW pawed with the elements bin and determined which Golf R elements required an additional home, apparently. From what it is that we can tell, the Beetle R ought to use a similar energy plant and significant chassis elements like the hot hatch. Which means a 296 hp turbo four, and likely the Haldex AWD system used inside the Golf R. In that case, it is anticipated to become inside a tenth from the Golf R’s 0-60 times. And judging from the large brakes fitted towards the sinister, flat gray check mule, it’ll stop nicely, as well. The Beetle R’s shoes are last year’s Golf R wheels, should that helps any.

Can the flat paint cause it to be to production? Who could say, however I’ve to mention, this is among the best-looking mules I have noticed inside a whilst.

The Beetle R caught testing today by our spy photographers is just a mule equipped with the optional R-Line package, and we anticipate the actual model looking even more aggressive.

For the production version, we expect to see a sportier and more aggressive look, with a motorsport-inspired front bumper, larger air intakes, an air vent on the hood, additional side skirts and a discreet rear wing.

Also, the production version will get a new exhaust system with dual chrome tailpipes.

The Beetle R Concept was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. When compared to a base Beetle, the R Concept featured a completely redesigned front and rear bumper, a pretty cool “Serious Gray” color combined with contrasting “Black High Gloss”.

VW also updated the interior with motorsport shell seats upholstered in black Nappa leather, a specially designed dashboard and of course numerous “R” logo.
